Confused About All of the Different Types of Stem Cell Therapy Injections?
If so, you aren’t alone. Lately, there are a plethora of injections labeled as “stem cells,” as the world of alternative medicine seems to be constantly offering new treatment options. Not only is it cumbersome to sift through all the different ‘types’ of stem cell treatments, but without further explanation, you may not know why many of them are a waste of your money.
Find out what PA Green Wellness does NOT offer and why…
Here at PA Green Wellness, we pride ourselves on staying at the forefront of regenerative medicine, offering more natural healing strategies, while also providing the most potent and scientifically proven treatments. We believe our approach offers your body the most advantageous opportunity to heal injuries and disease that were previously thought to be untreatable.
We are going to break down some of the types of stem cell therapies that PA Green Wellness’ clinics DO NOT offer and why.
We DO NOT offer PRP Injections, also known as P-shots
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are a concentration of your own platelets. While often called “stem cell therapy” PRP injections contain no usable stem cells. The first rigorous study asking whether the platelet injections actually work finds they are no more effective than salt water. A few positive studies, which are constantly cited, are few and far between.
Overall, the evidence of PRP injection’s efficacy is inconclusive. There are enough decent studies warning that most of the evidence is poor quality and conclusions are insufficient.
We DO NOT Offer Amniotic Fluid “Stem Cells”
Although amniotic Fluid contains a ton of viable stem cells while it surrounds a baby in utero, there are a limited number of stem cells that remain after birth, and they are not effective after processing.
We DO NOT offer fat harvesting, also knowns as FAT Liposuction or Adipose Stem Cell therapy
Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) injections can be harvested from a patient’s own body fat. This procedure violates current FDA “minimally manipulated guidelines,” when enzymes are added in during processing. Additionally, the practice of expanding cells classifies this MSC/HCTP injection as a drug. Not only is the procedure itself invasive, but the MSC derived from fat is also old and only as healthy as the patient.
We DO NOT Offer Bone Marrow Stem Cells
MSC derived from bone marrow is the original source of stem cell therapy and is primarily reserved for treating cancer and serious disease. Not to mention, the procedure is extremely invasive and painful.
We DO NOT Offer Cord Blood Stem Cell Products or IV Stem Cell Therapy
Harvesting cord blood stem cells violates current FDA guidelines and is only approved for treating childhood disease. One reason is that IV therapy carries the risk of transferring blood-borne disease and is not deemed safe nor long-lasting.
We DO NOT Offer Embryonic Stem Cells
Embryonic Stem Cells are derived from an embryo that is only a few days old. At this time, the practice is illegal, considered unethical, and only found in a research setting.
We DO NOT Offer Products from Other Nations
All of PA Green Wellness’ injection materials are derived from the leading FDA regulated lab in the USA. All donors are pre-screened and stem cells are harvested from the umbilical cords of full-term, healthy live births in the United States.
